Initiatives

As an elected representative of the people, it’s not my job to have all the answers. But I do believe it’s my job to try and find them.

Where are the public schools headed? Who’s keeping track of the casinos? Who gave the DNR so much power? Why are taxes so impossibly high? And where does all that money go? (It’s sure not solving the problems.)

As the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Job Creation, Economic Development and Consumer Affairs, I have been able to lead the charge in Madison driving the Republican economic agenda forward. This session, I was the author of the Property Tax Freeze, The Job Preservation Act, Biotechnology Compact, and Broadband Deployment legislation. In addition, I created a package of bills called "Invest Wisconsin" that will serve as the roadmap for Wisconsin's economic future.
