Legislative Agenda

We need to face reality and think about where Wisconsin is headed. Look at the budget signed by the Governor, months overdue and packed with nearly $800 million in new taxes and spending.  You deserve better.

It’s tempting to just shrug it off. Make it someone else’s problem. Hey, you’ve got enough to worry about. Your career, your family – who’s got time to fix what’s wrong with the state? Well, I’m sorry to tell you, it is your problem. It’s my problem, too. For everyone who cares about the future of Wisconsin, it’s time to acknowledge that such problems as we have can only be solved with strong leadership.

Because, if there’s one lesson we’ve learned in this country, nothing worthwhile comes for free. Solving problems is not glamorous-- it’s a hassle; it’s time consuming, and it’s not cheap.

But when our elected leadership is not getting it done, the other leadership of our state – the business leaders, the opinion leaders – need to get involved and right the ship.

That’s my opinion, anyway. Here are some things I’ve been involved with to that end:
